January Transfer Movement

The transfer market has become very hectic over the last couple days with many clubs looking for that big upgrade. Some players are most likely going to move but their situations are changing every second. The main question about the transfer market right now is where will they land.

Blackburn CB Christopher Samba
Samba is currently one of the most pursued players in the Premier League. Blackburn manager Steve Kean said today that Tottenham, QPR, and Newcastle are all pursuing Samba's signature. Newcastle is a surprise name as they are more interested in West Ham 22-year-old centerback James Tomkins. Harry Redknapp is reportedly preparing a bid for Samba while Neil Warnock has bid five million euros reportedly. QPR would be making a great move in getting Samba. Tony Fernandes would love a big signing like this to sure up  the backline as he does not want to see his team get relegated only a year after he bought QPR. Tottenham can offer Samba one thing that gives them an advantage on QPR, the chance to play in Europe. By the end of the month, Samba will be playing for Tottenham because the opportunity to contend for the Premier League will be too hard to pass up.

Inter Milan CM Wesley Sneijder
Inter Milan has reportedly put the price for Sneijder at 25 million euros. Reports are that Manchester United are now looking to finally sign Sneijder. Inter is also considering using Sneijder as a makeweight for a Carlos Tevez deal. However, Manchester City is not that interested in signing Wesley Sneijder as a makeweight in a Tevez deal as they just want pure cash. This might finally be the time that Sneijder moves to Manchester United. United needs a playmaker in the center of midfield desperately and Sneijder would be just that. United must get a deal done for Wesley Sneijder.

Fulham ST Andy Johnson
Andy Johnson has been rumored with multiple clubs but specificly QPR and Blackburn. QPR and Blackburn are reportedly looking at offering around 2 million euros for the veteran striker. QPR would love an upgrade at striker and Johnson is seen as that by Neil Warncok. Blackburn hopes they can get another steal like Yakubu was. Fulham manager Martin Jol has said that it will take a really good bid to pry Johnson from Fulham so he will probably be staying at Craven Cottage for the rest of the season.

Wigan Athletic FW Victor Moses
Reports are that Wigan and winger Victor Moses have had their contract talks stall. This could lead to a move for Victor Moses to another, bigger club. Reports are that Tottenham, Liverpool, and Sunderland are plotting moves for Moses. Moses has the potential to become an Aaron Lennon type player and the fee will probably only have to be in the 5 to 7 million euro range. Moses would be a less expensive option then David Hoilett with just a little less potential. However, Moses hasn't proven he can be consistently good and he might become just like Charles N'Zogbia who only had one stellar year and then had the pressure push at Aston Villa that has sidetracked his career. Moses should probably wait till the summer as clubs should beware of a potential bust just like N'Zogbia.
