Today's (Jan 27) Biggest Transfer News

With 5 days now remaining in the window, the pressure to get deals done and beat out other teams for players is starting to really be noticeable as rumors are flying around right now. Now, here are the biggest transfer headlines today as only 5 days remain in the window.

Chelsea has reportedly offered RB Bosingwa to Paris Saint-Germain. PSG is also interested in Frank Lampard. Chelsea is also chasing Manchester United youngster Paul Pogba. (Daily Mail and Daily Mirror)
Reports are that Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has offered rightback Bosingwa to former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancoletti and Paris Saint-Germain. Bosingwa is out of contract in the summer and Chelsea wants to get something for him to avoid losing him on a free in the summer as Chelsea can now look for a young rightback to be a longterm replacement for Bosingwa. Branislav Ivanovic can take over at rightback but Andre Villas-Boas should look for a true rightback to be a longterm replacemet. Marseille RB Cesar Azpilicueta should be the choice as he has been playing very well and he has a lot of potential. Azpilicueta is only 22 years old which means he has a lot of room to grow and he would probably cost around 15 million euros. However, Andre Villas-Boas should sign him because a true rightback like Azpilicueta is a better option then having a converted centerback like Ivanovic at rightback. For Bosingwa, he gets the chance to be reunited with former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancoletti and former teammate Alex on the backline. Bosingwa should immediately be the starting rightback for PSG which will definitely excite about a move to Paris. It is all up to PSG manager Carlo Ancoletti to decide if he wants to sign the Chelsea rightback or if he is happy with his current options at rightback. Meanwhile, Carlo Ancoletti is trying to sign Chelsea star midfielder Frank Lampard. However, I do not think that Ancoletti has a shot at signing him as Andre Villas-Boas has no interest in selling the England international. However, Carlo Ancoletti will still try to sign Lampard from Stamford Bridge even though there is almost no chance that he will be able to get a deal done. Chelsea is also looking to sign Manchester United's want-away young midfielder Paul Pogba as they are planning on bidding around 3 million euros in attempt to keep him from going to Inter Milan. A move for Pogba might be a sign that Oriol Romeu could be at Stamford Bridge for only a year. Pogba will be on the move as Sir Alex Ferguson can't get a deal done. Ferguson would probably prefer to sell Pogba to Inter than selling him to a Premier League rival like Chelsea.

Sunderland are plotting a move for Bolton striker Kevin Davies. (Daily Mirror)
Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill is looking at a replacement for the injured Nicklas Bendtner and Bolton striker Kevin Davies is the number one target for the Stadium of Light side. Kevin Davies has not been receiving a regular starting spot in the first 11 and with Bolton struggling in a relegation battle, Davies might be willing to make a move to the Stadium of Light since Sunderland is in no danger of being relegated and should easily get a midtable finish. Davies is a true number nine and he will only cost Sunderland around 1.5 million euros to sign which makes a deal very realistic. Davies will be able to get a starting spot if he moves to Sunderland so a move should definitely entice Davies to leave the Reebok. Bolton manager Owen Coyle will probably be willing to sell Davies as it could give him an opportunity to sign another striker. I think Davies will end up at the Stadium of Light as the fit between player and club is too good not to happen.

Transfer Roundup
Paris Saint-Germain CB Milan Bisevac is considering whether to accept a loan move to Manchester City or not. (Inside Futbol)
Roberto Mancini is looking to sign PSG CB Milan Bisevac on loan from PSG with an option to buy him in the summer. Bisevac is about to lose playing time due to the impending transfer of Alex to the Parc des Princes. However, he has to decide if a move to Manchester City will allow him to get more playing time which I don't think it would. I think Bisevac will stay at PSG because he would get more playing time in Paris than at Manchester City.
West Brom is looking to sign Russian striker Pavel Pogrebnyak on loan from Bundesliga side Stuttgart. (Daily Mirror)
Roy Hodgsen is interested in signing Russian striker Pavel Pogrebnyak on loan from Stuttgart with an option to buy at the end of the season. Pogrebnyak has lost his spot in the starting 11 at Stuttgart after the 4 million euro signing of striker Vedad Ibisevic from fellow Budesliga side Hoffenheim. If Hodgsen signs Pogrebnyak, it could be a sign that Peter Odemwingie could make a move away from The Hawthorns to Fulham who have been very interested in him. Hodgsen may now be preparing for an Odemwingie departure, I do think that Pogrebnyak will end up at West Brom as he probably could start over Shane Long while Odemwingie will probably stay at West Brom.
Valencia are trying to keep LB Jordi Alba from moving to Barcelona or Manchester United. (Inside Futbol)
Valencia has offered 22 year old leftback Jordi Alba a contract extension as they are trying to keep him from leaving for Manchester United or Barcelona. Jordi Alba is seen as a longterm return replacement at leftback for either Barcelona's Eric Abidal or Manchester United's Patrice Evra as Alba has a lot of potential. Valencia will probably ask for at least 15 million euros for anybody who has interest in signing the young leftback. Alba has good speed and knows how to get up field from his experience as a winger. Alba will probably stick around at Valencia till at least the summer but a move to either Barcelona or Manchester United then is realistic.
Everton is interested in PSG striker Guillaume Hoarau with Fulham and Sevilla also interested. (Inside Futbol)
Everton is plotting a loan move for Paris Saint-Germain striker Guillaume Hoarau as Fulham and Sevilla are in hot pursuit also. Everton have been looking for a striker and Hoarau is the latest name to join a list that includes Hugo Almeida and Nicky Maynard. Hoarau is looking for more playing time as he is trying to get ready for Euro 2012. However, Carlo Ancoletti will move Hoarau only if he can find another striker after their move for Carlos Tevez fell apart. Even though Hoarau wants to leave the Parc des Princes to find playing time to prepare for Euro 2012, Hoarau will not be leaving in this window because Carlo Ancoletti still feels he needs him at PSG.
