Taye Taiwo to QPR? Demba Ba to Arsenal? Today's Biggest Transfer News

After a slow Wednesday on the transfer market, today has been much more busy. Here is today's biggest storylines led by two players to QPR. This will be updated all day.

AC Milan LB Taye Taiwo and Manchester City CB Nedum Onouha
Taiwo and Onuoha are both closing in on moves to Loftus Road with Onouha's being permanent and Taiwo being on a season-long loan. Mark Hughes really wants to get the Onouha deal done quickly as QPR is wiling to match his wage demands. This deal will probably cost around  million euros and this could be a true steal. Onuoha also knows manager Mark Hughes from Hughes's time at Manchester City. This deal will give QPR a very talented central defender that is eager to play. The Taiwo loan deal has almost been completed as a work permit is all that is needed. Taiwo has not played well in his first year at AC Milan but Taiwo could be a great signing if he can regain his form for QPR. These two moves will improve the backline for Mark Hughes as these two players can help get QPR out of the relegation zone. Mark Hughes is now starting to make a true impact on QPR now that he is making these moves.

Newcastle ST Demba Ba
Reports have emerged today that Arsenal are preparing an 18 million euro offer for Newcastle goal scorer Demba Ba. Newcastle might tell Ba that he can negotiate with Arsenal since they signed Cisse which may mean that Cisse was brought in by Alan Pardew to replace Demba Ba because he knew of the offer that Arsenal had sent. Ba may not want to leave Newcastle as he will get less playing at Arsenal than Newcastle when he returns from the African Championships. A move by Ba to Arsenal is unlikely as he is at the previously mentioned African Championships. Also, Newcastle has as good of a shot as Arsenal does at making it in to Europe next year. A Demba Ba move to Arsenal would probably mean the end of Marouane Chemakh at the Emirates. If Demba Ba leaves Newcastle, it will probably be in the summer and not right now while he is at the African Championships.

Transfer Roundup
Stoke City ST Kenwyne Jones
Jones has been rumored with a 5 million euro move to Everton as reported by the Liverpool Echo. This is a surprise as nobody knows how much money Everton has in their chase to sign a new striker. David Moyes will look to spend a little more money if he has it after signing Landon Donovan on loan and Darron Gibson on a permanent deal from Manchester United. Jones would be the perfect fit up top as he is one of the most underrated finishers in the Premier League. His price could make him a steal due to the prescence of Peter Crouch. Tony Pulis has said that Jones is staying at the Britannia so this could get interesting.
Leeds United CM Jonathen Howson
Howson is closing on a move up to the Premier League with mid-table Norwich City. This is another player that Paul Lambert has signed from the Championship as this could also mean that a move for Leeds United forward Robert Snodgrass may also be coming since they have been negotaiting with Leeds for Howson. Howson will be a good leader in the central midfield for Norwich and form a good pair with Wes Hoolahan.
Manchester United CM Ravel Morrison
Serie A side Roma is now reportedly chasing the signature of Manchester United starlet Ravel Morrison. Morrison has had interest all across England, Spain and now Italy with Roma joining the chase. Morrison has six months left on his contract and Manchester United is desperate to keep him at Old Trafford with Newcastle United still leading the pursuit for him.
