Carlos Tevez to PSG? Today's Biggest Transfer News

The transfer market has been starting to see some deals finished as the month of January is over half way done. However, players like Carlos Tevez are still looking to make a move elsewhere so here is today's biggest news.

Manchester City ST Carlos Tevez
Tevez has been AWOL in Argentina as he waits for a move away from the Ethiad. Tevez has been heavily pursued by Italian giants Inter and AC Milan, and French leaders Paris Saint-Germain. Now, PSG is reportedly closing in on a 31 million euro move to sign Carlos Tevez from Manchester City. Carlo Ancoletti has been actively pursuing Tevez to fill the need of striker that the Parisian side has and now it looks like a deal is close to being completed. AC Milan and Inter will try to make a last-second move to sign Tevez but it seems like he is bound for a move to the Parc des Princes. When Tevez completes this move, he will immediately start at striker with either Kevin Gameiro or Melvut Erdinc. Tevez will help to keep the French leaders at the top and help them to build a team to compete in the Champions League next year.

Cardiff City LM Peter Whittingham and Bristol City ST Nicky Maynard
West Brom announced yesterday that they had made profits of around 9 million euro which has given Roy Hodgsen money to spend on the transfer market. He has now been linked with a move for Cardiff City's star winger Peter Whittingham and Bristol City striker Nicky Maynard. Whittingham will probably cost around 4 million euros and Hodgsen has been a long time admirer of Whittingham. A chance to play in the Premier League may be hard to turn down for Whittingham which may force Cardiff City to decide to cash in on him and spend money to find a replacement. Whittingham would give West Brom another good winger. West Brom is also the latest Premier League side to be linked with Nicky Maynard. Maynard is looking to leave but he hasn't gotten an offer that is good enough to make a move. Maynard is seen as a potential replacemet for Peter Odemwingie as Odemwingie has been linked with a 3 million euro move plus LW Damien Duff and CB Chris Baird to Fulham as Martin Jol is looking for a new striker. Maynard may see this as a great opportunity to make a move to the Premier League and get playing time. I think that Whittingham will end up at West Brom but Maynard will probably end up somewhere else in the Premier League like Fulham possibly.
