Bold January Transfer Predictions

With one week remaining in this transfer window, the rumors are starting to come out like crazy with only a few deals actually getting done. The question is will this move happen or will it not plus a surprise prediction. Here are my predictions for the window.

Bristol City ST Nicky Maynard to Wigan
Yes or No: Yes
This deal will happen as the two sides have all ready agreed on a fee and all that is left to do is to agree to a contract. Wigan may have a huge desire to get this deal done quick so they can sell Hugo Rodallega after Rodallega said that he will leave the DW when his contract runs out in the summer. Maynard has the potential to be better than Rodallega and all Wigan has to pay is 2 million euros. This is a true steal as Maynard has the potential to be a 12 to 15 goalscorer per year type of striker. Maynard is still young and definitely wil want to play in the Premier League and try to keep the Latics up. Maynard knows that he may not be in the Premier League long but the chance right now for him is too hard to turn down.

FC Basel MF Xherdan Shaqiri to Manchester United or Galatasary
Yes or No: No
Shaqiri is one of the best youngsters in Europe right now but he is not going to leave Basel till at least the summer because Basel is still in the Champions League, and Manchester United and Galatasary aren't. Galatasary has had an offer rejected and Shaqiri probably doesn't want a move to Turkey when he could move to a league like the Premier League in the summer. United are probably going to wait till the summer to make a move as they seem cotent right now with the squad they have since he would be behind Nani, Ashley Young, and Antonio Valencia. Shaqiri will definitely be staying at FC Basel till at least July.

Chelsea CB Alex to Paris Saint-Germain
Yes or No: Yes
Alex is definitely interested in rejoining former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancoletti in Paris which will be disappointing for QPR manager Mark Hughes. Alex is definitely headed for PSG as he knows he will have the chance to be in the starting 11 for the Parisian side. Ancoletti would love to form a pair of Alex and Uruguyan international Diego Lugano. Alex will be a veteran that can fit in immediately because he has played for Carlo Ancoletti before at Chelsea. Alex is very underrated and this will be a great signing for PSG manager Carlo Ancoletti.

Surprise Prediction
Real Madrid CB Raul Albiol to Tottenham
Tottenham have made surprise moves for Real Madrid players in the past including most recently Holland international Rafael van der Vaart and Albiol would be the perfect upgrade at centerback. Albiol is only 26 and knows that he has the potential to become a really good centerback if he gets the chance to play. However, Albiol knows that the only way to get playing is by leaving Madrid and Jose Mourinho may allow him to leave for only 8 to 10 million euros. This would be the perfect solution for Tottenham at centerback and I got a feeling this player will end up at White Hart Lane by the end of the transfer window. This will be the surprise signing of the transfer window.
