Cisse to Newcastle? Today's Biggest Transfer News

This transfer market is really starting to heat as Gary Cahill's move to Chelsea was the first major move of the transfer window. With a lot of situations getting intriguing, here is today's biggest transfer news.

Freiburg ST Papiss Demba Cisse
Reports have emerged today that Cisse is closing in on a 12 million euro move to Premier League side Newcastle United. Cisse would be a great upgrade to put beside Demba Ba at Sports Direct Arena. This move shows that Newcastle wants to make it into Europe next year and that they think they can beat out Arsenal and Liverpool to make it into at least the Europa League. Cisse is a great finisher and will fill in well while Ba is at the African Championships. When Ba returns, Cisse and Ba will form a dangerous combo up top that can score tons of goals. Cisse will be a great pickup for Alan Pardew and Newcastle.
Update: Newcastle United has announced that they have signed Cisse to a five-and-a-half-year deal.

Blackburn CB Chris Samba
Samba has turned in a transfer request to Blackburn and Blackburn manager Steve Kean has said that they still do not plan on selling him. Now, Blackburn is trying to get Samba to play back a loan immediately that they gave him for a house. This is truly unprofessional by Blackburn Rovers and I think that they will sell Samba before the market closes. The three biggest candidates to sign Samba are Tottenham, QPR, and Paris Saint-Germain. All three teams see Samba as an upgrade for their backlines. Blackburn wants 15 million euros but the probable price will be around 8 to 9 million euros. My prediction is that Samba will go to Tottenham for 8 million euros.

Transfer Roundup
Chelsea defender Alex has reportedly entered negotiations with QPR. Alex would be a great signing for Mark Hughes as he has tons of talent to lead the backeline and he will only cost around 5 million euros. If QPR can gets this deal done, it will be a great bargain.
Bolton manager Owen Coyle is already looking to spend the money he got for Gary Cahill on Tottenham winger Giovanni Dos Santos and New York Red Bulls and American international centerback Tim Ream. The Ream deal is almost complete as all that is needed is a work permit. Ream is a good replacement for Gary Chaill due to his potential. Coyle has made a 4 million euro bid for Dos Santos. Dos Santos has tons of creativity and is a dangerous attcker. Dos Santos is looking for a fresh start and Owen Coyle is preparing to give him that shot at the Reebok.
Manchester United youngster Ravel Morrison has been rumored with moves to Newcastle, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and now Manchester City. City is looking for a double swoop of Morrison and fellow United youngster Paul Pogba. Morrison has had some problems and this has caused him to be linked with a move away from Old Trafford. United still is trying to keep him and it is highly unlikely that they would sell him to rivals Manchester City. This will be a very interesting saga.
