The National Championship: Kentucky vs Kansas

We started out this year's NCAA Tournament with 68 teams, after tonight, we will have one champion. Both Kentucky and Kansas have earned their way to this year's championship as the winner will undoubtedly be the best team in college basketball. This is a classic battle of the two most winningest teams in all of college basketball and arguably the two most successful programs. So now, who will be celebrating in the Superdome tonight.

These two teams met earlier this season but both teams have improved signifcantly since then so that game can not be used as much of a reference. It is possible that the first three picks in this year's NBA Draft will be from either Kentucky or Kansas. The big matchup in tonight's game willbe in the post between the two best players in college basketball: Anthony Davis and Thomas Robinson. Davis has drawn comparisons to some great players including Bill Russell. Davis is a very good ballhandler and it will be hard to get it away from him in the post. Davis is also very good from the mid-range but the one place where Robinson has a little bit of an advantage is finishing in the post. This will be the matchup to watchas this could be essential in deciding who wins the national championship. The other key matchup will be between Marquis Teage and Tyshawn Taylor. The two point guards have played well in this year's tournament and will be counted upon for scoring and dishing the ball around. Teague and Taylor are both very good at getting to the basket and laying it in so it could be a very up tempo battle between Teague and Taylor. Tonight's x-factor is Kentucky's sixth man Darius Miller. The senior shooter has been the leader on this Wildcat team and he made some big shots against Louisville to stop the Cardinals when they went on any sort of scoring run. I expect Miller to do the same off the bench tonight for the Wildcats.

Prediction: Kentucky defeats Kansas
At the end of the day, the Wildcats are the more talented team and John Calipari will win his first ever National Championship. The 2011-2012 Kentcuky Wildcats will probably go down as one of the best college basketball teams ever.
