This rumor was first cooked up by the British press when it became clear

that Berbatov would be leaving United in the summer. So as usual, they

played fantasy football and suggested a move that would send Berbatov and

cash for Lewandowski.

I am not sure if Dortmund would be open to a transfer like this. They lost

Sahin last year and then Kagawa and Barrios. Money will not be a problem

given that German clubs are in good standing unlike English/Spanish clubs

and if I recall it correctly, Sky will be playing good money for the new

Bundesliga TV contract. Kagawa was in his last year, not signing a new

contract. So managing to get 12m was good amt for a player in that kind of

a situation.
